My Story
Bishop Jean-Marie Sumo holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, GA; and a Master of Theological Studies from the PTS, Cleveland, TN. He was born in Cameroon Central Africa, where he started his ministry in 1991 before his pastoral ordination in January 1994.
He lived with his wife, Elizabeth, in Washington DC where they established Christ Disciple Mission Church in 1995, a divinely inspired assignment aiming to restore the hurting people’s lives. They relocated with the church to Atlanta, GA in July 2009. They continue to serve the need of helpless families with their now young adult children, as well in the United States as in Africa.

Pastor Jean-Marie Sumo is an amazing man of God. From the first moment we met, I sensed something special about him and his wife. Their passion for Christ was so obvious in their worship and in the worship of their children, but, beyond that, there was an expression of faith and hope that far exceeded any I had seen previously. His commitment to serving God through proclamation and obedience is most seen in his testimony, writings, and preaching on the subject of healing. His own experiences have caused him to challenge the body of Christ to dig deep in their faith to believe in Christ, not only as Savior and Deliverer, but as Healer. This well-written book will challenge readers to greater faith in the power of Christ and hopefully serve to deliver some from an overdependence on medications and drugs that are sometimes unnecessary and only serve to mask the symptoms. Sumo doesn’t deny great strides made in medical science, but he certainly cautions us on using it as a total replacement to a deep faith in the Lord. I, like him, yearn to see God’s miraculous power move in an unprecedented way.
